School history:Poljane Primary School was founded on 5th November 1954, and was renamed into National Hero Tone Tomšič Primary School on 7th May 1955. Until 1958, when compulsory eight years of primary education was legaly enforced, the school was a four-year school. 
In 1992 the school was renamed back into Primary School Poljane. In school year 2001/02 the school began to gradually introduce the nine-year elementary school system and in the 2009/10 school year it became a full nine-year elementary school.

Now you have heard about our country, city and schooling so here is a little about our class 6.a.
There are 17 kids in our class, 10 girls and 7 boys. We all like to hang-out with each other. One of our favourite school subject is P.E. (sport). During P.E. we like to play soccer and dodge-ball. The boys also like to play floor-ball (hockey). Our class president is Miha Pompe and vice- president is Lara Lovrič. Our homeroom teacher is Andreja Dvornik. She is very nice.

Our school is called Primary school Poljane. We are in class 7.B. In our class are fifteen pupils, eight girls and seven boys. Our homeroom teacher is Tatjana Šeruga – she teaches Math and Physics. Some teachers say that we are impossible, but we don't think so. We are just very playful.
Some of our class likes drawing; most of the boys are crazy about football and many other things. We are very different, but we get along very well.
Julijana H. is very artistics. She likes to create many things; she's very good in it.
Julijana M. H. is artistics too. She likes drawing animals the most.
Aria likes singing and dancing. She is very self-confident.
Brina likes playing tennis. She trains that too.
Gala is new in our class. She is a very nice person.
Neža is a very quiet one. She has a great sense of humor.
Tim is very funny. He likes English very much.
Martin is very clever. He likes to study.
Jaka is always serious. He is smart.
Nikola plays violin all the time. He likes to talk about himself.
Ardian is very strong. He trains kick boxing.
Marko is all about football. He loves Arsenal.
Lukas talks a lot. He swings on the chair all the time.

Ava - I train swimming and I'm five times country champion.

Now you have heard about 6.a and 7.b so prepare to hear about the awesomest class in this school 8.a! So there's 14 of those troublemakers in our class plus me. There's 6 boys and 9 girls.
Fun facts about our class:
We're all beautiful. We're kind and generous and we love to lie. We always tell the truth… (yesterday I ate an elephant). We are so much better than 8.b. Teachers love us more. We mean everything to them. Well, we are also the smartest (including the teachers). It's hard to describe our awesomeness in words.
